Nike, Inc.
Nike was founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Company by Phil Knights and Bill Bowerman. It was importing shoes from Onitsuka Tiger, a shoe brand from Japan. They officially launched the Nike brand in 1972. Later on, in 1978, they finally changed the name of the company to Nike, Inc.
